But, at the moment, I really feel that it’s more important and vital to my life that I post, instead of study for my three exams in the next three days. That’s what tomorrow is for, right??
No, I don’t procrastinate or anything…
If you’re as ridiculous as I am when it comes to the Sabres, then I’m sure you’ve already watched this week’s installment of the Sabres Show… twice.
And I know I rag on Drew Stafford a lot, but I really, really like him. No, really, I do. Like, when I was deciding who to love instead of Tim Connolly last season, Drew was definitely in the mix. Actually, it was Drew, Derek, Patty K, Danny, Jason, and Nathan. Then I knocked Nate and Jason out, and eventually Danny and Pat, so really, Drew is my second choice.
Now that I think about it, Drew is actually more my type. Derek is too much like me… Whatever, though. I adore them both. But really, I chose Princess D because it’s more likely that he’d be here longer. I’m in this for the long haul, you know? Not that Drew won’t be, but it’s more likely he’d leave before Derek.
Again, I keep telling you things that you probably don’t really have all that much interest in. And again, I apologize, but just appease me and let me rant and go on tangents, and the world will be okay.
BUT BACK TO MY POINT… Not that I ever established one. OH WAIT. DREW STAFFORD.
That video… I mean, the part where he’s playing drums… OMGAH it just takes me back to the time when my older brother had a band while he was in high school. I fell for every single one of his drummers, which was two. Nick, his once best friend, was the drummer for years. And then Jeff, his now best friend, I guess, came along as the singer, but he’s an even better drummer, so there. I have a thing for drummers.
I love a guy who can have fun like that.
Even if he does let his lady friend wear his mustache:
DREW I WANNA WEAR YOUR MUSTACHE. =[[[[[
Alright. Now that I’ve gotten my daily hissy fit out of the way, I’m going to go make some lunch, and go to work, where I will (hopefully) get some studying done.
Peace out, girl (and guy) scouts.
Okay, so I began writing this entry Friday morning. Some time management, eh? Well, I’ll tell you, though… I was in the middle of writing Friday when Kim called me up and asked if I wanted to go to the mall. DUH. So we went, and then I went to work. Usually I can post at work, but not that night. Whatever. So then I was going to post it yesterday. But, we ended up at the mall, again.
So here I am this afternoon.
Great game last night, right??? Tommy is the equivalent of God in my books right now, and Derek would probably be Jesus. Stafford, Lydman, Gerbe, Miller, and the likes could be apostles, or whatever.
Basically, though, I’m in love. And this week is going to be the best and the worst ever. The Bills are most certainly going to lose today, and tomorrow I’ve got to work, but the first high point comes Tuesday evening with the Derek Roy signing. Wednesday is going to be absolutely brutal, with my last Anatomy lab practical and Nutrition exams for the semester. Yikes. Hopefully the boys will pull off that game against the Devils. Thursday won’t be much better with my actual Anatomy exam. Friday will be awesome though because my dear Jennifer comes home from school in New Mexico (at least I think it’s Friday; she won’t tell Kim or I), and Saturday Karina comes home. I’m working the weekend, which is alright, because Monday the girls and I are going to the Pittsburgh game for my birthday!! Not that you really care, or anything, but I just wanted to share.
So Friday morning I was rummaging around the internet, trying to find something about the Sabres that was obscure enough for me to have fun with.
Do you think I found anything?
No. Not really.
But what I did find, on Facebook, of course, were a bunch of fun pictures. What prompted me to search for pictures, you might (not) ask? Well, I was over at Meet Me At Chef’s, reading Rachel’s post, and saw this wonderful picture of Ryan Miller.
MIND YOU, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS EXACT PICTURE FOR FOREVER. This was in the First Sunday insert of the TBN a while back. My interest in this picture? RYAN IS IN TIM CONNOLLY’S HOUSE. Yeah, that’s right. He was living with Timmy while his house was being built.
BUT NOTICE TIMMAAAAY’S MARBLE FLOORS. Pretentious, much? Oh, wait… It’s Tim we’re talking about. Of course he’s pretentious. This is the guy that wants to dine with Hugh Hefner and own vineyards. And listen to G-Unit while doing that.
Okay, moving on.
The rest of these beauties were found on Fb or Getty, so I am not responsible for whatever may come from them. =]
Jaro, I love you, but are you trying to get Janice Dickinson to recruit you? I mean, I could totally see you doing a spread for Dolce and Gabbana in the next issue of Elle magazine.
I’m just saying…
And this gem?? Ohhhh man…
But no matter how beautiful your family is, it still doesn’t make this one right:
Okay, well the picture is alright, but it’s the context of the picture, I suppose. So you’re out with Mrs. Teppo, and Dmitri Kalinin, and Maxim Afinogenov. You’re enjoying a few beers. That’s fine. But what’s your entertainment for the night?? JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE. Now I just think that’s adorable.
And while we’re on the topic of gorgeous families and Justin Timberlake…
Haha, Jason’s Dave and Adam’s commercial just came on. The one with Petey and Nathan… Awww, they’re so cute!
Oh man… I think that’s enough excitement. Plus I have to prepare for the
probably terrible hopefully decent Bills game. So… Bye.
Shady’s back. Celebrate.
Errr, maybe… Sabres are back? Celebrate? Ehh, my attempt at rewriting Eminem’s lyrics are no where near as good as some of the others I’ve attempted, like Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’, Lou Bega’s Mambo #5, or The Foundation’s Build Me Up Buttercup.
Wow. I don’t go off on tangents much…
Are those the Sabres I’m in love with, winning before my very eyes once again? ARE THEY BACK AGAIN? I can honestly say that I think the Sabres have finally woken up and turned the ship around. At least it appears that way, right?
I think we finally got some of that good puck luck that Lindy’s been talking about, ever since the guys apparently gave up on The System.
But seriously, though, I’m too overjoyed that they finally are putting a GOOD streak together to even figure out something to write about… That’s terrible.
OHHHH. But seriously guys? You need to look for me and my beautiful friend Brittany on TV tomorrow. I’ll show you exactly where we’re sitting tomorrow, but I’m still looking for the right picture, but anyways, we’ll be sitting front row in a corner, behind Ryan twice. EXCITING SHIT, as I’ve never sat front row before. And I’ve been going to Sabres games my whole life. Strange…
Did anyone else get really, really, REALLY annoyed that the (a) Versus guys kept talking about the Crosby and Malkin Shows, and the (b) refs totally tried to screw us over and hand the game to the Pens on a silver platter??
It’s a damn good thing we have awesome penalty killers…
And I seriously think Derek is trying to win me back with pretty goals, and a nice point streak, and a point total that’s approaching his pace for last season. Well, it’s working.
BUT DEREK… We need to take our relationship slowly. Obviously, jumping in that deep, that quickly distracted you, and I apologize for being responsible for your slow start. If we take it slow, maybe you can focus more on your game and not be so overwhelmed by our amazing compatibility. That way, you’re happy because you’re playing better, and Lindy’s happy because you’re playing better, and most likely the team is happier because they’ll be winning more, and I’ll be happy because you guys are all happy.
It’s a win-win situation, really.
You know what else is a win-win situation?
But he really does score in all areas of life, because this is his girlfriend:
I’m shocked that it’s not another blonde. Not that there’s anything wrong with blondes, or anything. One of my best friends is blonde. I just think it’s funny that most of them are blonde… Very pretty, though.
And can I just say that I’m really glad that Crosby (or Crotch-by, as I dubbed him at one point last night) was held to a -2, and that my Pittsburgh BF Jordan Staal got nothing. Nothing at all. Love it.
Well, I guess that’s about all I can come up with for now. I’ll probably post later when I’m not in an I-just-woke-up-and-cannot-focus-on-anything stupor.
